A quick write

"Knowledge and awareness are vague, and perhaps better called illusions. Everyone lives within their own subjective interpretation..." ----Itachi---

I love this quote! I also love the fact that as true as the quote may sound to most, they probably would never know off the top of their head who Itachi is. Knowing information that others do not, is in some ways satisfying. Well okay to begin I would like to say that I read Ms. Shaffer's post on what I believe was focused on how we perceive "reality". While reading the post I was very suprised and interested (Something that I have been told is rare for me), and I marveled at the words as I read them to myself. I thought in amazement "This is what I have been exclaiming to people all these years!" The fact that the history we know of and accept is only accepted because, well, we accepted it. Depending on who gives the information, and how the majority of the public perceives it depends on what is, and what isn't. Whatever the public or readers believe becomes law. For instance there has been news circulating around that people in Haiti are barricading the streets with dead bodies...ummm excuse me? WTF? Why would people in need, do that? Well come to find out that there were some photoshopped pictures and this story was entirely untrue. However, imagine all the people that believe that and spread that horrible lie around?
Wow look at the time... Well before I head to my history class( how ironic) I also must mention how Africans and Indians and other third world countries are potrayed and viewed, because of those early morning infomercials about starving children. This is of course true, but many people perceive there reality of Africa or other places from those infomercials alone. So instead of thinking of the countries of Africa or wherever as countries in need of help as a whole, we have people that adopt children out of pity( not understanding that what that country needs is help within)and take away the children and the future... There is more to come, but right now I have to head to class.
